Journey Into Breath
HOW IT STARTED
Krystal and I met when I was seeking out a big change in my life at the start of the pandemic. A friend told me about breathwork, and how transformative it had been for her. As soon as I tried it, I knew it would be a huge part of my life. It has changed so much for the better.
As I continued working with Krystal doing breathwork, we discovered that we have a wonderful creative spark together. We began chatting business and just never stopped! We've developed a wonderful friendship and collaborate often - a true honour and joy!

WHAT WE'VE CREATED
Brand Identity
We created a full brand identity for Journey Into Breath that reflected the depth and care that Krystal puts into her work.
The logo was developed with simple symbols to reflect the stages of a breathwork journey, set in an elegant and powerful logo to be used across many applications.
The muted, earthy tones and comfortable and familiar serif wordmark create feelings of calm, groundedness, safety and trustworthiness.

Training Manual
When Krystal decided to expand her work into training new breathwork facilitators, we collaborated on a training manual.
This serves as a resource for facilitators to reference both in their training and in their practice. It features in-depth explorations of the breathwork method, as well as different physical expressions of emotional experiences.
The manual is designed to be enjoyable to read, with a strong emphasis on exceptional typography. Through clear hierarchy, subtle use of colour, and engaging formatting, the content comes alive through the design.

The Journey Into Breath website is designed to introduce new audiences to the power of breathwork through a wide range of education and free resources.
We created a free worksheet to help people explore and shift their emotional experience. This worksheet serves as a way to engage the audience with the brand and bring them into the Journey Into Breath newsletter.
We also create a monthly newsletter that is highly visual and filled with reflections on the energy of the time, and self-care reminders to help people navigate their experience.
The website design focuses on relaxing and comforting imagery, clean and strong typography to help make the content enjoyable to experience, and clear navigation to ease the viewer through the many layers of offerings and services.

Big Lessons
Working consistently on the Journey Into Breath brand for the past two years now has been such a rich and rewarding experience. I've discovered that, above all, what I value in my work is the ability to build long term supportive relationships with my clients. I want them to feel supported and cared for by someone who believes in them fully.
Krystal and I have been able to create a creative partnership that allows both of us to explore and expand in ways we never would have had access to on our own. We enjoy the regular process of trying new things, seeing how they work, and adjusting the approach until we find the right fit.
By focusing on a strong brand foundation, and then building on top of it, we have been able to grow Journey Into Breath into a leading breathwork resource, and allow Krystal the opportunity to step into her role as internationally respected facilitator and leader.
Working on this project continues to be one of my favourite adventures.
